Working:
This machine can be moved within the workshop with the help of a crane with the help of a crane. The machine then can be bolted to get rigidity and the machining can be started, while the job rests on floor with or without clamping depending on its size.
Description:
The machine is provided with all three axes movement, X,Y and Z. The axes movement is given by lead screw box nut and the guide ways will be of cast iron or combination of case hardened guideways and turcite. The axes movement is driven by a Ac indiction motors and worm reduction gear boxes. A common vector VFD is used for stepless feed range of all the three axes.
The milling head can be a 5HP milling head with ISO 40 spindle output or a 10 HP milling head with a ISO 50 spindle output.
Attachments Available:
Right Angle Attachment: A right angle attachment can be provided at additional cost. This can used to machine at right angles to the horizontal axis. The swiveling base of the attchment allows the right angle head to swivel 360 °.
Universal Milling Attachment: Spherical contouring capability tot (a) to tilt±360° around the machine spindle axis (b) to tilt ±360° on its own spindle axis& & (c) to oscillate from front to back. In other words, the spindle of the universal head can be positioned at any desired angle – at circular planes or at oscillating plane or at a combination plane of both circular and oscillating positions.
Alternative Milling Head:
Ram Type Milling Head: A Ram type milling head, as the name suggest has a ram instead of the quill for horzontal movement . The ram adds extended reach to the horizontal axis, improves rigidity.
The ram type milling head with right angle attachment or universal milling atttachment is ideal for machining the inner walls of the H beam.
